Welcome To My Dining Room

My dining room is my favorite room in our house.  I love the colors and it’s very warm and welcoming.  It’s the first room you see when you walk in our front door.  It used to be the formal living room.  Our life style doesn’t lend itself to a formal living room, so we took out a wall and put in a wall.  The formal living room became the formal dining room and the old formal dining room became an extra room that we use as an extra “tv room” for my daughter and her friends.

We had an early Christmas dinner with extended family.  Here is the table “dressed up” a bit.

I like to keep it pretty simple.  I love seeing all the tablescapes in Blog Land.

For me, the less on the table, the better and I like my center pieces to be low so people can see each other over them.

This is my Bernardaud Louvre china that my husband
surprised me with a few years ago.
We had a very small wedding and we didn’t register for china.
I always thought I’d never want china…funny how that changed as I got older.
I want something to pass on to my children.
At first I was scared to use them! But now I use them at birthdays, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I loved showing you my dining room and Christmas tablescape!

After looking at this picture I think I need to invest in a few more chairs that match this dining room set!
