Link Party Highlights #3

Welcome to the highlights from Link Party #3.

I’m always amazed at how talented all of you are – we are an amazing bunch of bloggers!  This week was especially hard to highlight.  I try to highlight something from each category – from furniture to recipes.  Then of course I always have to have one that tickles my funny bone or really jumps out at me and hits me in the gut.  Something that I see that randomly keeps coming back to mind.

The entry that was viewed the most was this dresser/buffet (they aren’t sure what it started life as) that Bonnie from Wee Meenit turned into a media center for her son’s playroom.

She got this dresser/buffet for $10 at a garage sale.  Unbelievable! Way to go Bonnie!

Christina from I Gotta Create continues to amaze me with her talent and creativity.  I love these Halloween ornaments.  One of these would look great hanging on my front door AND on my buffet.

House on Haunted Hill is a great OLD SCARY MOVIE! Gotta see it if you haven’t.  I love Vincent Price. Priceless (pardon the pun!)
P.S. Christina is having a “Halloween Craft Craze” Link Party going on until 10/19.  Click HERE to link up your Halloween project.

Wait until you see the mantle that Miss Kitty from Miss Kopy Kat put together. It is gorgeous. She calls it a “masculine” fall mantle. I have never thought of fall being masculine vs. spring being feminine, but it is so true!

LOVE those pumpkin topiary’s!

Lauren from All Things Homie made this adorable Map to My Heart.  She has a great tutorial for making it.

Wouldn’t this make a great wedding or anniversary gift?

Check out the OOh La La dresser that Tami made from Curb Alert!  This dresser would be perfect  for a closet or “dressing room”. Some people have the luxury of having a dressing room, which by the way, I don’t!  Can that go on a bucket list?????  (Quit rolling your eyes hubby!)

Pretty cool huh?  I love the framed devotional she reads every day when she is getting dressed.

Bobbie from My Creative Life Diary made this beautiful pillow at 1:15am! Just whipped it out.  Love all the different types of materials she used.  The brooch? Oh, that came from an old pair of sandals.  Amazing.  Talk about recycling! I would have never thought in a million years to save a brooch from a pair of sandals and add to a pillow.

Lace + Velvet + Burlap + Bling = To Die For and Simply Amazing

Karen from Redoux made this sign from a coffee table.  She cut it in half, then glued it back together again (to make it smaller).  It is amazing and it was true love the first time I saw it!  I think I might have BEGGED her to link it up! 🙂

The BOMB baby, the BOMB!
(I can just hear my kids saying, “Mom, I can’t believe you just said that – people don’t say that any more!”)
What do I say? “WHATEVER”

Last but not least….meet Jayna.

Isn’t she cute? She just celebrated her 1 year old birthday.  Her Mom (Kim from Craftaphile) and Dad suggested that in the place of a gift, people bring a newspaper clipping, predictions about the future, letters, or photos to put in a time capsule that she will open on her 18th birthday.  What a great idea! My children would have LOVED opening up a time capsule on their 18th birthday. Good job Mom and Dad for having the for-site to think that far ahead.

Thanks again to all of you who linked up to Turning the Daunting Into the Do-able Link Party #3!  I wish that I could highlight everyone who links up! ♥YOU ARE ALL  AMAZING!♥

Link Party #4 will be going live tonight 8pm Pacific Time!

I’ve been having so much fun at your link parties, and appreciate the friendly way you write up the highlights. I feel like I’m being introduced to a lovely community. Now… I just gotta find some garage sale treasures like Bonnie did. Bonnie…any tips?

    • Christina, you are a sweetie and make me feel very special. Thank you! I do have a great group of ladies who link up every week – so creative and inspiring. Seriously, I cannot wait to see what your next project is! You are AMAZING!

  4. Thanks again Mandy for the feature and I too love the way you write up your highlights!
Christina, I have to say, I was in the right place at the right time! I have seen a ton of projects and think to myself, why can’t I find great deals like she did! Then I find one, so I think it is just knowing when to say, yeah, I see potential, but it is just still too high of a price & walking away. Something better will always come along!

  5. Mandy, Thank you so much for including my Ooh-La-La dresser in your feature! I am honored and completely agree with what Christina mentioned above – you have hosted such a sweet community here with so much inspiration. I look forward to linking up in the future.

    Thanks! Tami
