Okay, onto some highlights from the Christmas Craft Tutorial Party #1!
The most viewed linked up project was Doreen’s from Altered Artworks‘ Holiday Treats.
She used a canning jar added a mix of peanuts, butterscotch chips, chocolate chips, raisins and almonds. THEN, she sprinkled in some red and green M&M’s and decorated the jar. Adorable. Affordable. Easy.
The 2nd most viewed was Jenn’s from Simco Street. She made these beautiful Wedding Invite Ornaments.
These ornaments were made out of her wedding programs. Aren’t they beautiful? So special! This would make a great wedding gift for a couple’s first Christmas. Just put that program somewhere you can find it when Christmas comes. Don’t be like me and put it in such a good place that you can’t remember where you put it!
There were two projects that tied – both being the 3rd most viewed projects.
This Candle Holder was made from tissue and glue by Decorating With Cents (forgive me, I couldn’t find her name anywhere on her blog).
She mentions that the picture doesn’t do it justice. When I read how they glitter, I agree! I bet they are absolutely gorgeous in “real life”. She also made a beautiful vase that she shows on her blog. Head on over to her blog, you definitely won’t be disappointed. She a busy woman with talent.
Katie from The Crafty Blog Stalker had the other 3rd most viewed project. Making these beautiful sparkly ornaments was a family event at Katie’s house. Even her husband got involved!
Now, I know that I said I was only going to be featuring the top 3 viewed projects, but I couldn’t help myself. I seriously wanted to pick all of them!
Steph from Crafting In The Rain shared her version of a Pottery Barn Poinsettia pillow.
This one I just had to share. Carol from The Polka Dot Closet makes these Shabby Little Mitten Ornaments from vintage linen scraps!
She saves all of the torn and stained vintage linen scraps all through the year! These are amazing!!! I keep thinking about Mother Goose’s poem…The three little kittens, they lost their mittens and they began to cry…
I’m really enjoying this party because of all the tutorials. I love tutorials. Yes, I’m a direction reader. I follow directions to the T. I drive my husband crazy who never follows directions and then wonders why it doesn’t work. Guess what I say? “Did you follow the directions?” Then, he gives me the “stink eye”.
