Link Party Highlights #31 – “Turning the Daunting Into the Do-Able”

Hello everyone! I hope all of you had a fabulous weekend.

I’m in Sacramento this week helping my step-daughter (Tracie) prepare to move to Fresno.  She has her hands full with 4 active boys.  I love being here with all of them.  Being a grandparent IS THE BEST!

You all have been busy with some amazing projects!!  Oh my goodness!!! I really enjoyed going through them all this week.   I have  a “bookmark” on my computer with “Crafts to Make” and “Recipes to Try”.  It’s beginning to be a very long list.  I also have the same categories on Pinterest!  I better get busy :-).

Here are some amazing projects that I’m highlighting this evening.

Daena from Bad Rabbit  Vintage turned an ugly duckling cabinet into a beautiful swan.

She did an amazing job – complete with harlequins and fleur de lis’.
I’m in with this beautiful swan.

I’m lovin’ this adorable Upcycled Clipboard that Melanie from Artzy Creations made.

So darn cute!
Wouldn’t this be a GREAT teacher appreciation gift?

Stephanie from Lady With the Red Rocker describes this Chocolate Oreo-Cream Cake as SINFUL.

Definitely looks sinful to me.
Don’t you agree???

Remember Bethany from Pitter and Glink’s adorable lamp that I highlighted last week? This week, Bethany revealed her new craft room!

She used lots of  happy, crisp, and fresh colors.
Head over to her blog to see the rest of it!
Yes, I have craft room envy :-).

Carri from Simply Done Wright  made such a cute mosaic heart on a brick.  Guess what this is going to be?

A door stop!
She has a great tutorial on her blog.
I’m pinning this one… yup, my “crafts to make list” is growing!

M.L. from House of Whimsey made this Vintage Enamel  Floral Pin Bouquet.

I think these are amazing.
Would you be brave enough to carry a bouquet like this
instead of fresh flowers?
I would!

Jody from Meaningful Mama made this scrumptious Chocolate Mousse Cake from Martha Stewart’s recipe box.

Jody says that these beautiful desserts are very time consuming,
but what a fabulous dessert to make for entertaining.
You’ll look like Martha Stewart yourself!

Maysem from Ode To Inspiration made these amazing Knock-off Anthropology Vases.

She has a very easy to follow tutorial on her blog.
Great job, Maysem!

Cyndi from The Decorating Chica “stole” these  Stenciled Frames.  I cracked up when I read that she is a thief!

Because apparently I am too :-).
She is an “idea” stealer… aren’t we all?
You are not alone Cyndi!

Marilyn from 4 You With Love made these summery Pink Lemonade Cupcakes.

This would be a perfect snack for those end of the year parties.

Lorrie from Finding Secret Treasure made a Room With A View.

She used a Cutting Edge Stencil and an old window.
Fabulous view!
What a great idea for a bathroom without a window.

If you were featured, I’d love it if you grabbed a “feature” button and pasted it on your blog.

You can find the HTML Code in the right hand side column.

Thank you everyone for joining the party this past week.

Link Party Highlights #30 – “Turning the Daunting Into the Do-able”

Hello everyone! Whew!  I think I’m FINALLY starting to feel somewhat normal (whatever that is) and getting back into the swing of things.  Vacationing is very hard to do :-).

I haven’t felt terribly creative this past week, but I feel like I’m definitely headed in that direction (must have been all of those fabulous projects that were shared at the link party this past week).  I spent all day yesterday in the yard.  I can’t think of a better way to spend Mother’s Day… in the yard all day and then coming in to shower and having dinner all made!  Heaven.  Anyway,  I’ve got to get my yard in shape before Mother Nature turns the heat up here in Central California.  You know… like those 110 degree days.  Ugh.

I do have a pretty cool project to show you this week… a gift that I made for my BFF before we left for Europe.  So stay tuned…

Without further ado, here are the projects that caught my eye this week.

Jody from Rooted In Thyme shared an adorable project – flowers planted in a pair of vintage baby shoes.

I had seen these on her blog and just loved them.  I was thrilled when they showed up at the Link Party.
Jody also shares another fabulous idea that she added to her garden….
but your going to have to visit her lovely blog to see it.  You’re gonna love it.
A fabulous recycle idea!

Bethany from Pitter and Glink picked up a few thrift store lamps.  Have you ever seen anything like this?

Sooo clever and cute Bethany.
While you are there, check out her craft room…

Mari from Inspired By Family Magazine shared a recipe for Chipotle Coconut Roasted Crockpot Chicken.

I always think of using my crockpot in the winter, but never in the summer.
Using it in the summer is a great way NOT to heat up the house.
Mari shares this easy recipe on her blog.
Looks delicious!

Shari from Turnstyle Vogue Design & Styling shared a wonderful tutorial on these Rope and Glass Cloches.

They are amazing!
She also has a tutorial on how to drill the holes into the glass.

Alese from 2 Crafty 4 My Skirt shared a Potting Table she made for her mother-in-law out of Pallets.

It turned out so cute!

Kimberly from The Brown Eyes Have It shared a recipe for Creamy Tomatillo Ranch Dressing.

This looks so good.
I love salads in the summer and this one is made with
REAL RANCH (not the bottled stuff).

Heather from The Spotted Leopard made these adorable Gift Card Boxes.

Wouldn’t you love to give this to someone with a gift card in it?

Virginia from ArtsyVaVa made these Upcycled Olive and Pickle Jar Candles.

She has an easy to follow tutorial on her blog.
They are so pretty lit up.

Kim from Reposhture put together this $3 Placemat Purse.

Who would have ever thought you could make a placemat purse????
Oh, so clever.  Great job Kim!

Creative Lady Of the House made these adorable Pillow Beds for her grandchildren.

I would love to make these for my grandchildren.
I try to make them comfy beds when they come to visit.
These would be perfect to stow away in the closet so they would
have something comfy to sleep on at Nana’s house :-).

Thank you to each and everyone of you for sharing your wonderful projects this past week.  I look at each and every one of them.  My favorite thing to do every morning with a yummy cup of coffee.

If you were featured, I’d love it if you grabbed a “feature button” and posted it on your blog so others can join the party.

I can’t remember a day it has ever rained on Easter.
Seems like the sky just clears up and God shines on us!

Thank you everyone for your encouragement to continue the “Turning the Daunting Into the Do-able” Party.  When I read the FB conversation and wrote my post, I REALLY wanted to make sure that everyone knew that I was having a party for the right reasons…. and it was NOT to increase followers on my blog.  I hope that I was able to get verbalize it properly and not confuse anyone!

Link Party Highlights #27 – “Turning the Daunting Into the Do-able”

Happy April everyone!

I believe it’s Easter Break for many of you with your kids.
I bet you are enjoying some good, quality, family time this week.
I miss coloring Easter Eggs and getting excited for the Easter Bunny’s visit!
Enjoy those little ones because they grow up awfully fast.
I’m thankful that the memories of those special, magical times don’t fade…

Are you ready to see the highlights from last weeks Link Party #27?

Lauren from Totally Lauren Amber made this adorable Family Rules Sign.

I love the way she incorporated some “fun” rules in her sign
along with the “serious” ones.
“Sing silly, dance crazy, hug lots, snuggle often, say “I love you”.

Lori from Bleak 2 Unique shared this adorable Heart Bench that she made from an old piano bench.

Did you know she is decorating a house 3,000 miles away?
Her NEW house!
This bench will be going into her new master bedroom.

One of my favorite things about spring is ASPARAGUS being in season.  Zoe from Scouts Stitches shared this healthy recipe.

Her recipe is very easy!

Here is a little trivia for you.  Did you know that when you smell asparagus in your urine (some people do and some people don’t) it’s because you have the “asparagus receptor” in your nose??  Most people think it’s because the smell is in the urine… but it’s in your nose!!! That’s why some people smell it and some people don’t!  Now aren’t you glad I shared that with you?? 🙂

I’m lovin’ this sweet little Bunting that Debbie from On the Refrigerator Door shared.

So darn cute.

Donata from DK’s Craft Cafe shared these beautiful Crochet Baskets.

I can think of all kinds of things to put in these baskets!
Definitely could be used in just about any style of home.

Missy from Lookie What I Did shared this adorable decorated Digital Frame.

I, like Missy am not a digital picture frame fan….
they are always so B O R I N G.
Missy’s frame is FAR from boring!

McVick from Center Of Attention Deficit Disorder shared this amazing Tray Transformation.

Visit her blog to see what it looked like originally.
What a transformation!

I’m lovin’ this Wood Sunflower that Karen from Somewhat Quirky Design made.

I’d love to see this hanging on my fence.

Did you stash some Girl Scout Thin Mints in your freezer?  Jen from Jen’s Favorite Cookies shared this recipe for Thin Mint Krispie Treats.

These look delicious!

Amanda from Burlap and Denim linked up a tutorial on how to use vaseline when refinishing a door and also how to antique a mirror.

Vaseline Method

 Mirror Antiquing

This door turned out amazing!
Thank you Amanda for the tutorials.

Kim from Made In A Day shared a tutorial on how these fabulous Vintage Sea Pictures were created.

Great job Kim!

Jodi from Meaningful Mama showed us her baking talent….

This Rainbow Birthday Cake is UNBELIEVABLE!

And last, but most definitely not the least is this printable that Kathleen from Inspired By Family Magazine shared.

projects, printables and recipes.

Dyed coffee filters!
Isn’t it beautiful?

Winnie from Winnish shared her recipe for Rocky Road Brownies.

Can’t wait to show you some great link ups this week…

These were so INexpensive for her to make!
Have you priced these lately at the store?
They are surprisingly E X P E N S I V E!!

Karen from Pocket Full Of Pink painted her knife block.

I love this idea.
Knife blocks are boring and ugly.

Hi Friends! Thanks so much for linking up your awesome projects this past week.  I hope that you enjoy the highlights and find something that will inspire you.  Try and visit a few and tell them you are coming from Project Queen! 🙂

Trisha from Re-Made Just Right made this amazing Farmhouse Table for her sister.

What an accomplishment…
I can paint and sand and stain with the best of them,
but actually drilling and sawing and nailing is a whole new ball game for me.
I had to laugh because Trisha mentioned that
she only had ONE MELT DOWN!

Audra shows you what materials/items you need and how to do it.

Leslie, a contributing writer for  Inspired By Family Magazine, shared this oh, so yummy looking Baked Brownie Pudding.

Easy, Peasy to make!

Andrea from The Cottage Market shared a cute way to use a saucer for a jewelry hanger.

I love this idea.
Do you ever see those cute little saucers without the cup when you are thrift shopping?
Now WE know what do with them!
Great idea Andrea!

Lori from Thrifty Decor Mom put an extra kitchen cupboard to good use and made some great Kitchen Artwork.

Link Party #23 Highlights – “Turning the Daunting Into the Do-able”

I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend!  Our weather here in California has been amazing the past few days.  I took advantage of the great weather (perfect temperature to paint!) and worked on the baby nursery dresser.

I went to bible study this morning, then for a nice long walk with my BFF (we solved all the world problems).  I had planned on coming back and finishing up the nursery dresser.

Later in the afternoon, I was sitting at the kitchen table eating a quick lunch and I heard a big BAM coming from the garage.  When hubby came home and checked it out, he told me the cable had broken.  Has anyone ever experienced this?  My goodness, it sounds like someone ran right into your garage door…. I’m glad I wasn’t out there.  Anyway, the dresser is right up against the garage door and now I can’t get to it because we can’t get the garage door open! Someone is coming out tomorrow to fix it. Yay!

So, instead of painting, I’m gonna get these highlights up sooner than I thought!  I love seeing all of the projects that are shared (I know I say the same thing every time), but, I have to be honest… I don’t like having to pick and choose which ones I want to highlight.  Some are “no brainer’s” where you just think, “WOW, how in the world did she ever think of doing that?”  Then you have the ones that are “AMAZING”…. I’m not sure how to get around all of this… I do want to highlight features (who doesn’t want to be a feature?… I know I love it when my projects are featured!)… so, until I figure something out… let’s just keep going with the way I’ve been doing it for the past 23 times! Can you believe it’s been 23 times??? Oh, time flies while we are bloggin’!

Kristy from 4 The Love Of Wood did an amazing, re-vamp of this cabinet for her friend, Heather.

The graphics she chose for this primitive cabinet are perfect!

Ashley from It’s Rustic Living made this adorable “Where He and She Became We” pillow.

Sh  plans on selling them soon!
Ashley has a few other styles that she designed on her blog.
You’ll have to head over to see them.

rustic living

Emily from 52 Mantels is in the process of designing her craft room.  This is one amazing project that is going in her craft room.

She will be tantalizing us with more projects before she does the “big reveal”.
I can’t wait!

52 Mantels

Peggy from The Painted Pear found a tea tin that she turned into a Dog Food Tin.

Gotta love that chalkboard paint!

Kaylee from Couponing and Cooking shared these YUMMY Smore Krispy Treats.

These look delicious!!!

Catherine from Freddy and Petunia is one of those women who can look at a piece of furniture and see it in a completely different way.  This was a king size headboard and 2 chairs that she turned into a bench for her mother’s banquet table.

Here it is with the glass and the pedestal table that she put together.

There are more detailed pictures on Catherine’s Blog.

Barb from Turtles and Tails added some twine to her Ikea chairs.

This is such a fabulous idea!!! So easy and such an impact.

Kathryn from Ugly Duckling Transformations shared these lumbar burlap pillows.

They turned out great.
I ♥ burlap pillows and I don’t have a single one.
What’s up with that?

Ann from Make the Best Of Things shared some of her Book Page Crafts.

She has taken pictures of several projects
(the clock and the star are just a few)
that are displayed in her craft room.
Boy, what a craft room Ann has!

Yes, I’m featuring yet another baked goodie that Kirsten from the Sweet Swiper!  Oscar Worthy Bars!

These look simply amazing.
Definitely going into my recipe file!
I would make these  right now if I hadn’t eaten a whole box of Samoa’s today!

Thank you, thank you, thank you EVERYONE for sharing your projects!!!
