Link Party Highlights #40 – “Turning the Daunting Into the Do-able”

 Happy Fall Ya’ll!!!!

Finally, FEELS like fall is in the air.

Hubby got the Halloween and Fall decorations down from the attic last night.  I had really wanted to have my decorations up by October 1st, but it just didn’t happen.

My BFF and I helped a friend decorate for her son’s wedding reception last weekend.  It turned out beautiful! (If I do say so myself).  I will post pictures soon.

We had some great link ups this week… here are a few:

Paula from Creating In Glass Slippers showed us how she made her eerie Skeleton Poison Bottle.

Pretty Spooky!
Paula has an easy tutorial to follow.

Jan from the Tip Garden shared a recipe for Pink-Strawberry Hot Cocoa Mix.

My girls would have thought this was the BEST.
Pink Hot Chocolate! Does it get any better than that???

Jan will be posting a Thrifty Holiday Gift every week on her blog.
Be sure to visit Tip Garden and see what she is sharing!

Lauren from The Thinking Closet shared a pattern for these adorable Bird Pincushion/Needle Keepers.

They turned out pretty cute!

Catherine from Freddy and Petunia showed off her amazing flea market find and how she magically fixed the damaged mirror.

Kathy from The Chicken Chick linked up a yummy recipe for Chicken Piccata.

I have never met a Chicken Piccata I didn’t like.
Another MUST try on my list.

Thank you everyone for linking up your fabulous projects and recipes.

I’d love it if you grabbed a “feature” button (right hand column)

Link Party Highlights #39 – “Turning the Daunting Into the Do-Able”

Hello everyone!  I apologize for the Highlight Party being so late this evening!  I had a bit of a problem with WordPress… long story.  I’ve never had any problems until this evening… who knows, it was probably just me hitting the wrong button (imagine that)… I’m definitely not tech savvy and if it weren’t for my most favorite graphic designer, Char, from Delight Designs there would be no Project Queen!  She has shown me how to maneuver my way around and look like I know what I’m doing.  Ha!  She is always there when I need her!!! Thank you Char!

I wanted to share with you, that there are several ways to follow Project Queen.  I feel the best way (personally this is how I follow my favorite blogs)  is to sign up by email.  If you fill in your email (in the right hand column) you will only receive an email when I post something.  This way, you don’t have to constantly be checking to see if there is something new.  Just sign up to have Feed Burner send the new post to your in box.  Easy as that!  So with that, let’s get on with the highlights from Link Party #39.

Stephanie, aka Lady With the Red Rocker shows us her adorable Owl Cookies that she made for her sister’s baby shower.

Stephanie has an easy tutorial to follow along with the recipe.
She says they are delicious too!

Karin from Art Is Beauty shows us her Humpty Dumpty Rescue Desk.

Humpty Dumpty is right!
Head over to her blog so you can see what this sweet desk and chair
looked like before Karin did her magic.  In pieces!

Fifi from About Blogging Time did a great job on her Halloween Yarn Wreath.

I love making yarn wreaths.

Kelli from Seriously…I Think It Needs Stitches introduced us to Reubenita, The Fashionista Donkey.

Reubenita is adorable! I love her hair.

Lori from The Stonybrook House made a Sunburst Orange Ombre Pallet Sign for her new office.

Such a happy and colorful sign.
I would love to look at this every day.
Wouldn’t you?

Kirstin from Craftiments shared her Dictionary Page Wreath.

The flowers are fabulous!!!!

If you were featured, please grab a “featured button” (right hand column) and place it
on your blog so more can join the party.

Thank you to every single blogger who shared at the party last week!
I pray all of you have a wonderful week.

Link Party Highlights #38 – “Turning the Daunting Into the Do-able”

I’m up to my eyeballs in all kinds of fun stuff!  I’m helping a friend plan and decorate for her son’s wedding reception in 2 weeks and then the following week, my BFF and I are participating in a street fair that will be in Old Town Clovis called Glorious Junk Days.  It will be held on Sunday, October 21 from 8-4pm.  If you happen to be in Clovis that day, please come by our booth and say, “Hi”!

Yesterday, as I was painting I thought to myself, “If I didn’t have these 2 events coming up, what would I be doing?”  It really dumbfounded me! ha! I always seem to be in the middle of a big project or preparing for an event. I seriously don’t plan to be this busy… it all seems to end up on my plate.  I’m definitely not complaining because I LOVE IT.

It’s nice to be up and active.  It’s been hard for me to sit for long periods of time because of the old sciatica acting up.  The workouts with my trainer 3 times a week is really helping to strength my back muscles.  I continue to stretch in the mornings and do my exercises daily.  It is definitely getting better, but amazed at how quickly in flares up again with too much sitting.

We had some wonderful link ups at the party last week.  Amazing ladies out there….

Sarah from Repeat Crafter Me showed us an easy tutorial for her Yarn Wrapped Letters for Fall.

Her letters mounted on the frames turned out so cute!

Julie from Knot All That I Seam showed off her Sunroom Lounge Makeover.

They turned out great.
They look so fresh and clean.

Marty from Marty’s Musings’ wonderful husband made her a Branch Candle Center Piece.

Bella from Art Club Blog shares her beautiful Painted Pages.

You need to head over to her blog and see her other
painted pages that she has framed.

Hetty from the Stone House Workshop painted a beautiful Antique Buffet for a customer with Annie Sloan’s Chalkpaint – Aubusson Blue.

The buffet turned out so pretty.

Kaylee from Couponing and Cooking shared one of her families favorite Fall recipes (along with several others).

Pasta with Pumpkin Sage Cream Sauce
I pinned this one.
Definitely making it when it FEELS like fall around here :-).

Thank you for sharing everyone!
I’d love it if you grabbed a “featured” button (in the right hand column)
and put it on your blog somewhere so more could join the party.

Happy Monday friends!

Hubby and I  just came back from a beautiful weekend in Lake Tahoe,  attending the wedding of a family friend.   It was a gorgeous wedding! Beautiful setting and perfect weather.  Tahoe brings back so many childhood vacation memories.  The smell of pine, the water, the sound of the trees in the wind…. it was a wonderful, restful time… not to mention the 72 degrees!!!

I enjoyed my Saturday morning with a hot cup of coffee in hand and clicking on each and everyone of the projects that were shared.  Gosh, there were some great ones this week.

Cyndi from Blue Star Antiques does not disappoint with this amazing striped table.

Love Annie Sloan’s beautiful blue paint,  called “Provence” that Cyndi chose.
